I was still lingering in the moment of Dominic's and my kiss. He was holding onto my hand and in my opinion this was heaven. I was happy things finally got worked out.... Didn't they?
"So... how are you?" I asked biting my lip embarrassed for asking such a stupid question.
He laughed before answering.
"I'm fine. "
"Good!" I tried my best to sounds enthusiastic... fail.
"What's really going on Bianca? I know you better than that. You have something on your mind."
"No, kinda sorta. Not really. Let's just... subject change."
"Whatever you say. But you know I'm here for you."
"I know. That's why I love you." I playfully nudged him and smiled.
"When you guys heading back to filming?"
"who knows... who cares."
"You should care. I mean Marcie IS your best friend."
I glared slightly at him before replying to the comment.
"I know that. It's just.... I never wanted to do this. I was forced to. I don't know..." My voice trailed off. I didn't quite want to explain everything I was feeling. Not that I didn't trust him, but I just thought it would be better if I kept my big mouth S-H-U-T. Or so I thought.
I felt my phone vibrate inside my jeans pocket.
"Typical. I gotta go. Emergency set meeting." I said imitating Marcie.
"I understand. I'll text ya later." Dominic smiled sweetly at me almost making me run into a pole. But I missed it... sorta.
I started walking to the set which thank God was only a few blocks away from the pizza place.
The question I asked myself was what would someone ever hold an emergency staff meeting?!? Only Marcie could think of an idea this stupid...
I swaggered into the conference room. It was pitch black and empty. The heaters where turned off. No lights had been even used all weekend. It was practically abandoned.
"uh hello?" My voice shaking. I was nervous.... No, not scared. Nervous! I don't really like being dark places alone. It's my pet peeve in a way. And one of my greatest fears. I heard some footsteps and a book fall to the floor. Ok now... now I'm scared. I might have been shaking, I'm not sure. I was to occupied with getting out of the enclosed room than seeing what the heck my body was doing.
"hey..." A voice said.
It sounded so familiar, but not completely noticeable at the same time.
I wasn't alone though, that's a given. I backed up into the wall. Hitting the light switch. I slid my hand up the textured wall til my fingers pressed against the plastic tab. I flicked it upward seizing all the lights into motion. The room was filled with light and I could see everyone. Including the person speaking.
"Why are you here?" I asked surprised to see.....
