As a true alliance, we nurture our community of advisors by helping them to continually improve their capabilities, learn from each other, uphold best practices, and create businesses of enduring value.
from the beginning idea was a broker-dealer for advisors owned by advisers and that's important we felt that there needed to be and truly independent from and that is what gave us the opportunity to start anew so everything that we do as a company relates to the independent financial adviser being an independent advisor to me means I have the freedom and flexibility to serve my clients in the best way I can I always wanted to have my own business and being an independent advisor allows me to do that to be independent to not report to some big company from above you know all the big firms tell you you have to do a B C an SFA doesn't adhere to that they're not putting any requirements on us to do things their way to sell products that they offer they've given us total freedom empower us to do what we want and what we think is best for our clients in an environment where technology is changing we try not to limit ourselves in terms of what is best rather than just saying no let's find a way to say yes you can tell us speaking with our advisors that they really genuinely care if I have an issue I know who to call I'm not calling an 800 number that's real important we as a fun have a deep relationship with our advisors and we have found that the best advisors have deep long-standing relationships with their clients what's a culture it's a culture of wanting to spur the success of our advisors because our success is SFA success SFA has a great community of close-knit advisors and so when we come together it really is like a family it's a very unique and very open sharing group and it's it really fits in today's culture we're not looking to grow just for numbers safe we were looking to bring on quality advisors that want to grow and want to help there clients they want to build something I'm very pleased and very positive not only as a shareholder but as a member of this firm of the bright future that SFA has having the opportunity to have ownership in a broker-dealer to own shares it's exciting to me knowing I think the future is very bright I think SFA from what we've seen in the past is going to continue to be a great partner it's independent it's not trying to get sold we're there not only for the short term but for a long term we all have a common goal which is which is to help each other and I think it's for the betterment of the industry we're all just a group of people try and help other people so when we use the words empowering the independent it is a reminder to provide those services that will help the financial advisor meet the needs of their clients it means where I want to be
