On September 13 Winds brought smoke to Chicago from the large forest fire in the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) near the Canadian border. The BWCA is located seven hundred miles to the North of Chicago in Minnesota. The smoke would come in waves and at times one could feel their eyes burning.
Weather forecasters predict the the smoke will dissipate by late Wednesday September 14th when the weather conditions change.
