The Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) Taskforce, a multi-agency group dedicated to improving safety on Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica to the Ventura County Line, has produced "PCH Group Therapy," a video promoting safety on the iconic coastal state highway. The video, which depicts a fictional group therapy session for users of the iconic coastal state highway, was created as part of an Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) grant given to the City of Malibu on behalf of the PCH Taskforce. The Taskforce is chaired by Senators Fran Pavley and Ben Allen and Assemblymember Richard Bloom, and includes the City of Malibu, LA County Sheriffs Department, Caltrans, the Santa Monica Police Department, citizen advocates, cycling community representatives, and other stakeholders.

The grant, a partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, seeks to improve safety on PCH, one of California’s most famous and popular roads through a combination of a safety study, pedestrian training sessions, changeable message signs, and public outreach. The video was created as part of the public outreach portion of the grant, and has been distributed to over 100 media outlets in Southern California and on social media.
