As part of an ongoing effort to educate lawmakers about genetics and genomics in human health, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) and the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) held their first ever joint Congressional briefing on September 26, 2019. The briefing, titled "The Undiagnosed Diseases Network (UDN): The Interface of Research and Clinical Care to Solve Medical Mysteries," features speakers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), two UDN sites, and a parent of two children diagnosed through the UDN.
