SCHOOLBOY Connah Broom who was diagnosed with an aggressive childhood cancer is still going strong - SEVEN years after surgeons said they couldn't save him. The 11-year-old, from Gronant, North Wales, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2006 and the outlook was bleak when chemotherapy failed to shrink 11 tumours that stretched from his neck to his knees. The happy and healthy boy is baffling medics. But his grandparents, Jim and Debbie, say it's all down to their cancer-busting alternative therapies - including a strict organic diet, vitamin supplements, Reiki therapy, daily saunas, exercise and ultrasound. Today 10 of the tumours are dormant while the 11th is showing no progress. It has meant Connah has been able to live the life of a normal boy and, last month, he reached a very important milestone - starting secondary school. Now Jim and Debbie are releasing a book about Connah's journey called The Amazing Cancer Kid, which will be launched later this month.
