I tried making DimSim79's method of fried ice cream... I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. If you wanna see the results check out this video. Sorry my video quality is so crappy, I recorded with my digital camera :/

I just started a food blog. Right now there is a recipe for creme brulee :) enjoy!

Ingredients and Utensils:
ice cream (any kind)
bread crumbs (preferably the American kind)
coconut flakes (or if you can find dessicated coconut use that)
3 egg whites
3 bowls
oil (I used canola oil)
ice cream scooper (or spoon)
saran wrap (plastic wrap)
a pan/pot high enough to fry your ice cream balls
a small serving plate

Also, next time I will use tempura batter and see how it stand up to this method. I think using tempura batter will give it more of a restaurant style taste, but it will be more difficult.

Thanks for watching and hope you like it!
