This 1977 song created by the Romanian hard rock band Iris is a milestone for this musical genre. This song along with "Corabia cu pânze" ("The Ship with Sails"), "Ape curgătoare" ("Flowing Waters") and "Ţara adevărului" ("The Country of Truth") are the first songs created by Iris and were recorded at the National Radio station of Romania, in 1977. This video contains the live performance of "Day Light" from "Iris 20 Years" anniversary concert, held in 1997. At this concert, former members of the band reunited. We can see the members of the 70's performing in a line-up that never existed between 1977 and 1980, with both Sorin Chifiriuc and Emil Brando Lechinţeanu on stage. In reality, Chifiriuc replaced Lechinţeanu. The only member that remained in Iris since that period until now is the drummer Nelu Dumitrescu. Cristian Minculescu does not appear on lead vocals because he joined Iris in 1980 and so the original version of "Day Light" did not include him. However, Iris would re-record this song, with the 2002 line-up (including Cristi Minculescu on vocals) for "Mătase albă" ("White Silk") album.
