With most FC fans hoping for a good result, rather than expecting one, the scoreline probably flatter the Reds, but for their second-half efforts, the win was definitely justified. After Ryan Watson and, with a broken leg, James Knowles had both departed the field on stretchers, the 10 minutes of injury time was well used by United and with the best attempt of the half, Tom Greaves got himself in the right place at the right time to head into an empty net to give the Reds the lead. Just after the hour the never-give-up Matthew Wolfenden hounded the Nash defence and after stripping the ball, ran at the nets and on his second effort, doubled FCs goal tally. Craig Lindfield was up-ended in the area, for Dean Stott to convert the third with a penalty, before the party piece in extra time. Scott Cheetham ran 40 yards with the ball to find Greaves in the right spot again and he smashed home sweetly from 15 yards out to seal another memorable, if not dry, night for the Reds.
