September 4, 2013 - Proponents of the statewide ballot initiative to tax new adult-use marijuana activity in Colorado hold a campaign kick-off on the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol. Members of the Committee for Responsible Regulation, who are backing the Yes on Proposition AA campaign are joined by state lawmakers as well as representatives from the marijuana industry and the United Food and Commercial Workers labor union to the make the case why Colorado voters should approve taxes on commercial marijuana activity this November.
Proposition AA will appear on the statewide ballot this fall as a result of legislation passed earlier this year to implement Amendment 64, which Colorado voters approved in November 2012 legalizing the retail sale and commercial cultivation of marijuana.
