"A drone attack on the vehicle of Abu Sayeed has led to interesting developments in the Tribal Autonomous Districts of Takistan. Aerial surveillance has revealed an increase of security at an isolated compound. Not only has there been an increase of armed personnel guarding the area, but crew served weapons and air defence systems have been deployed around the site. The level of protection and the changes made immediately after the killing of an Al Qaeda operative are all indicative of the presence of another high value target.

Special Forces have been authorised to raid the compound. An assault team of Delta operators is to attack the site and kill El-Fakharani and any personnel resisting the attack while taking due care to avoid shooting unarmed bystanders. In addition to eliminating the high value target the team is also to secure intelligence material found on site. It has proved exceedingly difficult to infiltrate organisations like Lashkar-al-Mumineen that rely to a large extent on ties of kinship. With insufficient results from HUMINT other sources of intelligence have taken on greater importance. The operators should therefore gather any computers and communications equipment.

Once the assault force has eliminated the high value target, gathered all available intelligence and destroyed the AA systems, the team members must make their way to the extraction point to board the Chinook for the return journey back to base. Operators should use the time of the flight to conduct an after action review of the raid in preparation for further action in Takistan. The team will attend a debriefing session with intelligence specialists immediately after the arrival at the base. Operations in the Tribal Autonomous Districts are likely to be stepped up in the near future as new input helps develop a more complete picture of islamist activities in the region."
