This year marks the first bachelor's degree conferment ceremony for some 240 students in the master of occupational therapy, doctor of occupational therapy, doctor of physical therapy, and doctor of pharmacy programs. The ceremony on Friday, May 18 in the Athletic/Recreation Center (ARC) is for students who entered the University as first-year students in 2008, or who transferred into those programs before earning a bachelor's degree, and who are eligible to earn a bachelor's degree during the 2011-12 academic year even as they continue their matriculation toward their professional degrees. Last year's honorary degree recipient, Mary Louise Tigue Andersen P'52, HonDSc'11, was the featured speaker at the bachelor's degree conferment ceremony.
