This is #6, PART ONE, of a series in which I read correspondence between me and people who have questions, comments, or--more often--misconceptions about asexuality.
PART ONE highlights a YouTube commenter who told me asexuality awareness isn't a big enough problem or issue to warrant any discussion at all, and that I will fail if I expect to shed light on the issue in any appreciable way. From this discussion, I link to PART TWO, which provides a very frightening example of the types of responses asexuals stand to face if the perception that it's not important is maintained.
