Complementary to http://www.mirekpatek.com/melbay/Banj... this is the demonstration of Travis picking pattern adopted for open tuned (here DGdg derived from CGda) tenor banjo.

The melody of Blue Moon Of Kentucky (that part in 4/4) is presented first in syncopated version up to speed. You can watch where my thumb did not follow the autopilot of root-root-fifth-fifth of the chord - this is a mistake. Second part of the video shows slower version with no syncopation - all melody notes are played on the beats, with pinch of thumb+index or thumb+middle finger.
