Members of Ukraine's National Guard, re-established by the government in early March, trained at Noviye Petrovtsi, near Kiev, Monday. This was the first batch of volunteers who set off for a 15-day training course.
National Guard members practised with AK-47 assault rifles, PKM machine guns, hand grenades and RPG-7s, among other weapons. Specific unit designations for the National Guard have not been established yet.
