Its a blessing to have the New Testament and his church today for us to know God and have salvation. If the New Testament was not put in effect through the death of Christ all men around the world would have to travel to Jerusalem to offer up sacrifices and give a ten percent of all the things we owned to the Levitical preisthood. And all men would have to be judged under the law, so if your child was rebelious and didn't want to obey God he would be stoned! If you were worshiping another god or caught in adultery you would be stoned! If a newly married women said she was a virgin and was found out not to be a virgin she would be stoned! For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John.1:17). Thank God through the sacifice of Christ that we can worship in his body and offer up spiritual sacrifices without having to deal with the pharisees, saducees, or any false leader in Jerusalem that we could run into if the New Testament was not put in effect through Christ's death. There are some that obeyed the law of Moses in Jerusalem, but one would have to find the faithful saints who kept the Law perfectly (Luke.1:6).
