Northern Territory clans have come together in opposition to fracking... Borroloola Elders have pledged to protest against any future mines, or mining infrastructure on their lands that interferes with song lines, food and water sources, or sacred sites. Members from four clan groups marched together over the weekend as part of Global Frackdown day. As well as opposing fracking.... the mining process used to unlock coal seam and shale gas embedded in rock.... the elders also want to prevent any pipelines from being built on their country. The Borroloola custodians want a freeze on any future mining and they say they're prepared to fight for it
