Dozens of UC workers and trade unionists from Northern California rallied at the UCSF Parnassus campus on March 4, 2011 to demand the rejection of UC Regent David Crane who needs to be reappointed by the CA State legislature. Professors and workers charged that Crane and other Regents are intent on privatizing the University and destroying labor bargaining rights. Unions such as CUE-IBT have not had a contract for years and the Regents spend millions on anti-labor attorneys.
