VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
As our math standards transition to common core, students will be responsible for showing their thinking in several different ways. They are encouraged to rely on picture models for word problems especially, because this will help them understand how the numbers fit with the context of the problem.

The purpose of my videos are to explain some of the concepts that we cover in class to my students' parents. However, these videos can be used by any classroom teacher or homeschooling parent as they see fit. I will also use these videos with some of my students as a review center in class.
