Nikki comes to us from the Rhode Island Community Food Bank's Community Kitchen program. Finances have gotten her into some tough spots throughout her life, including utility shutoffs and struggling to put food on the table for her children. "I didn't know," she says, "I didn't have anybody to teach me that credit is a major thing . . . In making [financial] mistakes, you mess yourself up, and you don't even realize it."

Nikki says she is very excited to start working with her personal Financial Coach, Patricia. They will meet one-on-one throughout the next month, as they work together and go through Nikki's credit, debt, budget, savings plan, health care access, and more.

This video interview captures some of Nikki's pre-Coaching feelings regarding her finances. Her words are deeply touching and inspiring. I love that final line; she's clearly ready, now it's time for us to get her there! #GoNikki
