This demonstration was recorded and voiced by Michael McGuffin on 2016 November 14.
The software shown here was created circa 2000 by Alias|wavefront (now part of Autodesk). At the time, I think the menus were being branded as "Z-Ray Menus" in an effort to market and license them to other software companies. However, in the scientific literature, and in Gord Kurtenbach's Ph.D. thesis, these menus are known as Marking Menus.
