Thousands of masked protesters marched through central London on Wednesday night as part of the global 'Million Mask March' organised by the Anonymous collective. Protesters raised a number of causes, including Palestine, internet privacy, and anti-austerity.
The protesters moved from Parliament Square on to Buckingham Palace, then to the BBC headquarters where they confronted police at the entrance and banged on the windows. The march coincides with the traditional English festival of 'Bonfire Night,' where people burn effigies of Guy Fawkes - the plotter who tried to blow up Parliament in 1605.
