Training Session on System of Environmental-Economic Accounting for Water (SEEA-Water) held during the 1st Stakeholder Workshop (20--21 march 2014, Florence, IT) of the European project "PAWA -- Pilot Arno Water Accounts", funded by the EC DG Environment under the Grant Agreement No. 07.0329/2013/671279/SUB/ENV.C.1.
The general objective of the PAWA action is to improve knowledge on water resources available in the Arno River basin and their use and to assess the potential impact of management, technological and economical measures to reduce the vulnerability of the territory against desertification, water scarcity and drought. One of the specific objectives is to prepare physical water accounts following the SEEA-Water framework using the best available data coming from field measurements or resulting from models when necessary.
Project coordinated by the Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA, IT).
Main partners: Arno River Basin Agency (ARBA, IT); Euro-Mediterranean Information System on know-how in the Water sector (EMWIS/SEMIDE, FR).
