Knicks v Bulls 1996 EC Semi-Finals Game 1
44(17-35, 1-4) 5

MJ continued his seemingly never-ending dominance against the defensive-minded New York Knicks. Even with a very sore lower back, Jordan seemed to blow by whoever it was guarding him with ease, whether it was John Starks, Hubert Davis, Derek Harper, or even Anthony Mason on occasion. It was murder how he was backing down Derek Harper in the post. Nobody knew how to play him. If they gave space, he hit the 20 footer. If they played close, he went to the hole. His fadeaway seemed untouchable, whether it was his 2 dribble pull-up off the pivot, coming off a Dennis Rodman or Luc Longley screen, or in the post where he most excels, his jump shot seemed to be clicking on all cylinders. His timely scoring in the second half was just that: timely. And him and Scottie Pippen's defense on the Knick guards was ferocious as usual, forcing their starting backcourt into a 8/27 outing combined. Bulls win, 91-84.
