Priscilla Star Diaz -- AKA P-Star. The charismatic and precocious young rapper -- now 14 and a half -- is the subject of a new documentary entitled "P-Star Rising," by filmmaker Gabriel Noble. Filmed over four years, the doc follows P-Star and her family; her older sister Solsky and her single dad Jesse who, in the early 80s, had once been a rising star himself in the world of hip-hop...before finding himself broke and living in a shelter with his daughters. "P-Star Rising" chronicles the rise of P-Star's career from her early days, rapping on the streets of Harlemto getting signed and releasing an album with HUNC records, and singing with the popular kids group, Reggaeton Ninos. Now, at the ripe old age of 14-and-a-half, P-Star is currently playing Jessica Ruiz on the 2009 version of The Electric Company on PBS.
