In September, VIP Television visited “Ayesha’s Kitchen”, one of the most talked about Indian cooking classes in South Florida to see what all the buzz was about. Hosted in Ayesha’s actual kitchen, her energy and passion combined with her simple yet powerful cooking techniques keep the place constantly packed with people eager to learn. With 16 different menus, a sit down dinner featuring anything from alutiki to lamb kabobs to bombay aloo, everyone who comes is excited to eat incredible food and be able to bring the experience back home to their kitchen.
“This truly fell in my lap” commented Ayesha when asked about how this all came to be. Having put in 9 years at a university studying something completely different, she never imagined this is where she’d be today. After receiving a call from a Miami Herald Food Critic asking her about her Indian cooking, she agreed to sit down with the critic and participate in an interview for an exclusive full page article. Upon it release came the students yearning for the recipes and after that “Everything was history” as Ayesha said.
Taking a class with Ayesha is a unique experience unlike any other provided by the generic cooking classes available today. With no experience required, the students range anywhere from beginners all the way to those with advanced experience. But the sweetest part of it all is of course… the deserts! Learning to make carrot fudge, gulab jamun, and even rasmalai, Ayesha’s Kitchen is definitely the go to place for the most diverse and immersive cooking class experience.
