This aircraft is the first civilian-operated Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker in the world. Its first post-restoration flight, seen here, took place on 10 December 2009, in Rockford, Illinois, USA. It is registered N131SU.

The outside air temperature for this flight was 7 degrees Farenheit, or minus 14 Celsius. The wind was 250/15. The takeoff roll on Runway 25 was approximately 1,100 feet, and the pilots used a climbout angle of approximately 25-30 degrees to avoid accelerating through their FAA-waivered speed limit in Class D airspace.
