Former U.S. Rep. J.C. Watts of Oklahoma and Herman Cain, a former candidate for the presidency, came to the Reed Center in Midwest City on Monday, March 5 to deliver warm words of support for Republican presidential candidate J.C. Watts. Watts pointed to Gingrich's record on fiscal issues to support his contention that when it comes to the budget relief and tax reform voters want, Gingrich has "been there, done that." Cain said Gingrich's push to drill for more oil and push gas pump prices back to $2.50 a gallon is a demonstration of his willingness to lead with bold plans. The pair campaigned in Tulsa and Midwest City along with Jackie Cushman Gingrich, the candidate's daughter.
