Sitting on the steps of 465 West Broadway in SoHo playing harmonica and singing songs with my new friend Brian Moran. A lifelong resident of the village before it was called SoHo, he tells me of painting a house around the corner with Bob Dylan in the sixties. And watching the filming of "Two For The Seesaw" in 1961 when he was 10.
He misses the days when the neighborhood was real. He recently retired from the Daily News. In just a minute he's going to go get a burger and then go get some sleep. People stop to listen when he plays and I sing Beautiful Dreamer, by Stephen Foster.
