Warning: This video is at times intentionally boring.
As an Ice Climbers main, I am naturally interested in how well a variety of characters are able to climb other surfaces. It turns out that if you have a wall jump and a quick neutral B or side B, odds are decent you'll be able climb walls or stall on them pretty well. Or, if you're Squirtle, you just skip the move altogether and wall jump over and over, with some wall clings thrown in here and there for good measure.
There are a number of issues with the practicality of this. While rising in such a fashion, you generally will be very vulnerable, as neutral B and side B are generally not moves that provide great coverage from above. Characters with potent invulnerable ledgedrop options will probably be able to deal with this pretty easily. However, it does provide a means of potentially recovering when you might not otherwise be able to. You also can stall with it a bit, but most characters who can do this sort of thing can only afford to stall so long since the diminishing height on wall jumps will eventually make you drop. Characters with wall clings are better able to stall with this since they can just chill there for a while between bounces.
