Ryan Gosling jokes about mating with his Drive director at the LA Film Festival premiere!
Hey there, I'm Lauren, and we have the latest news from the movie's red carpet, including rumors of a Wonder Woman remake with Christina Hendricks? It's coming up in today's PopSugar Rush.
Ryan: "Did he say that we professionally mated in my car, and made a movie baby?"
Ryan Gosling has a new BFF in director Nicolas Winding Refn. The two worked together on Ryan's upcoming movie Drive, and they hit the red carpet in LA over the weekend along with costars Christina Hendricks and Bryan Cranston for the film's premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival. PopSugar editor Lindsay Miller was there on the carpet to chat with Ryan and the rest of the stars.
Lindsay, no verbatim: "Ryan showed up about ten minutes before the screening in this skinny blue suit and red socks, looking completely cute and dapper. I was totally mesmerized as he stopped to talk — he's just so good looking in person, and really sweet! He not only teased about his director Nicolas, but he also had nice things to say about costar Christina Hendricks."
Ryan: "Christina just came in for a couple of scenes and totally rocked my world. Take after take, I had to remind myself to be in the scene, because I just wanted to watch."
But as Christina she told us, the feeling was mutual.
"I got to work with Ryan and he was just magnificent, as well as our director Nicholas, he was just amazing. So this was a fantastic experience. I haven't seen the film yet, I'm very excited."
Lindsay: Ryan plays a Hollywood stunt man in the film, who gets caught up in a heist. The movie also costars Carey Mulligan, though she's been busy with her off-Broadway play Through a Glass Darkly, so she hasn't been able to join Ryan as he promotes the film. Ryan debuted the film at Cannes last month with director Nicolas by his side, and the two have become quite close. In fact, they had such a good time making Drive, that they've already signed on for other projects together!
Nicolas confirmed over the weekend that he's directing a remake of Logan's Run with Ryan, and they may also may rejoin on a romantic comedy. Nicolas also became smitten with Christina Hendricks while filming Drive, and he supposedly wants to do a Wonder Woman remake with her in the famous role of the female superhero. She certainly has the curves for it!
For now, you can look forward to seeing Nicolas direct Ryan, Christina, and Carey in Drive when it comes to theaters in September.
