With just two shots at the track that night in the pre-turbo 350Z Grand Touring, I had to make them count. Scratch the first run. It was an abortion and embarrassing. After a long wait in the lineup I get another shot and some redemption arrives. The silly cones that Miller track sets up are annoying and limiting both speed and line you can take. They're there I suppose to prevent slide offs and wrecks. The normally aspirated VQ35DE motor is smooth and predictable but still lacks ultimate speed and torque. I would like to hit 120mph on the West side straights with aggressive braking and then pull out to the next turn. The action is captured well with GoPro Hero 2s on hood and helmet. I catch the Audi in front of me. Come along for the fun ride and watch round two come together, fishtailing and all.
