Japan Meteorological Agency’s new geostationary weather satellite, Himawari-8, will give the Australian public high-resolution, true-colour, spectacular images of the earth. It also provides more detailed, more precise and more frequent data to the Bureau of Meteorology’s forecasters and weather prediction models.
