1A Auto shows you how to replace a sticking broken frayed transmission detent or downshift cable. This repair is performed on a 1986 GMC Jimmy and it applies to model years 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, and 91, but this part also fits MANY GM applications.

🔧 Instructions:

1. remove the air cleaner assembly 1:26
2. Disconnect your detent cable. 1:50
3. Install the new detent cable 3:15
