Cooking with olive oil is dangerous for you if you're cooking it at high heat.
Olive oil has a low smoke point, which means the oil literally begins to smoke and can go rancid. The smoke point for olive oil is between 365 and 420 degrees fahrenheit.
At high heat, the beneficial compounds of the olive oil start to degrade and potentially health harming compounds form, such as carcinogens. Carcinogens are cancer causing agents.
When cooking with high heat, you should replace olive oil with coconut oil, grapeseed oil or safflower oil.
