Simon Napier-Bell is an author and former manager of Marc Bolan, Wham!, Candi Staton, Japan, Ultravox and many more. Simon spent 18 months in the early 80s negotiating for Wham! to become the first ever Western pop artist to play in communist China. Eventually, they played in April 1985 at the Worker’s Stadium in Beijing.
