A great song by Mundo Earwood. It came out at about the same time Behind Blue Eyes by the Who came out and was thought to be a cover. This song stands on its own. Sorry about the hiss, crackles and pops but I can't find a remastered version to save my soul. Until that happens I am just happy to be able to bring you ANY version of it. I don't know who wrote it or who performed it with him. If anyone out there can enlighten us I'd be very grateful. Enjoy.

The vinyl pops and crackles only enhance this. Don't change it.

First saw him when he played for Montgomery County Trailriders in about 77. He was great, the dance floor was always full. Afterwards, he hung around and partied with us a couple of days. Also saw him at the Conroe Ballroom.

Mundo for sure sings with the Angels now. He and his wonderful family moved in across the street from us in 1993. His beautiful daughter Angela became my sisters best friend. If I can say one thing about Mundo it is that he was a generous and caring man, who would give the shirt off of his back for you, just like my dad that was a man of Faith and who loved his family with all his heart who passed away way to soon in 2004. Mundo I truly wish that there were more men like you in this world. The scripture says love thy neighbor and we loved you and your family with all of our hearts. You were gone just like my dad way too soon but I know that you are at home and at peace with my dad singing with the Angels. Till we meet again.                                                                      Shane

With Great Sadness...Mundo Earwood has Lost His Battle....He Sings with the Angels now.
I worked with Mundo from 1979 till 1984. Any song Mundo recorded were ones he wrote. I think he may have done a cover once. . .but he had reels & reels of originals. He was one of the best songwriters ever! He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just 2 years ago and has been fighting for his life since. He should have been a super star - but because of bad management, he lost his chance. It was a loss to country music and they will never know it :'( m

So sorry to hear about Mundo. This recording is one of my favorite C&W songs and it was lost to me for years. Sure wish I knew where my copy on 45 got off to.

JUST AS GOOD AS GOLD!!...Thank you soooo much for posting and sharing this "rarely heard anymore" and "VERY-hard-to-find" lil' country ditty that reached #32 on the charts back in September 1977...I thoroughly enjoyed it!...Take care!! :)
