Ben Cook from Beretta is here with me in the back of the Beretta booth at SHOT Show 2012 to give us a sneak preview of their upcoming .22 long rifle version of the ARX 160, a "revolutionary" new rifle design.
The ARX-160 is already in use for military forces, but it's being scaled to .22 long range. It hasn't yet released, but it will be later this year. It has the metal quad rails with marked index points for ease of attaching and removing optics. The ARX sights can be locked down or popped up. The stock is a collapsible side folder. With disassembly, once the firing control group is removed, the charging handle can be removed and placed for right or left handed operation. To fully disassemble, then the bolt can be removed and the barrel can be cleaned from the breech end. The 5.56 NATO (.223 Remington) version is anticipated to release this fall. I'll receive one of each for more thorough review in the near future. Stay tuned! Buy Exclusive FoD Art Here: http://bit.ly/FODPICS PASSWORD: Destinee
