"Against The Odds" tells the amazing story of Dr. Emad Rahim, a survivor of the Cambodian Killings Fields. Dr. Rahim overcame great adversity, from losing his older brother and father in a concentration camp, growing up in poverty and being abused, and struggling with a learning disability, to becoming an award-winning educator, author, entrepreneur, TEDx Speaker and Fulbright Scholar. Dr. Rahim hopes his story empowers and motivates young people to complete their education and fulfill their professional goals. His story was also adapted into a Syracuse Stage theater production titled “Tales From The Salt City,” and published biography “Resilience: From Killing Fields to Boardroom – The S.A.L.T Effect”
