Informative Speech on My Little Pony performed by an 8th grade student. This student shows that presentations CAN be entertaining as well as informative! This clip shows his last practice before his speech meet.
Storytelling Speech/ one act play presented by an 8th grade student. This is a spectacular example of this category due to a clear goal in the rising action, attained goal in the climax, and a great lesson in the resolution. The different voices and voice inflection made this performance fun to watch. Unfortunately the speech meet time limit was 3:30, which presented quite a challenge. If the time limit was 6-10 minutes, the students could have presented a more developed plot.
STRENGTH: Speaker used humor to create interest and made a seemingly boring topic entertaining!
WEAKNESS: Speaker's left hand kept going in his pocket and he adjusted his shirt a few times as well. (Many hand gestures were great though!)
SUGGESTION: Practice one's hand gestures so the hands aren't doing anything distracting.
