In the summer of 2012, two Emory University students visited Liberia to assess the future of the United Methodist education system there. Amanda Kline writes: "There is no money. No money to buy new supplies, no money to fix and update facilities, and no money to pay the teachers." Despite so many factors working against the school system, parents still try to keep their children in United Methodist schools. Here are some of the faces and places that are part of the Liberian United Methodist school system.
