Sonic Drive-Thru Singer: Giorgio Fareira Places Fast Food Order Through Song

Using only an iPhone, this acoustic, indie rock artist with roots in pop punk, rock n roll, jazz, and bluegrass created a viral music video recording his melodious order at a Sonic drive-thru window.

The friends asked Fareira to bring his guitar on a ride to Hartford to entertain them since the car radio was not working. On the way home, they stopped for dinner at the Sonic outlet in Wallingford, which features carhops on rollerblades and roller skates. His friends encouraged him to sing their order from the car in stall No. 6 to the worker on duty.

"We wrote down the order on a piece of paper and then I just went with it," Fareira said. "I made it up as I went along. My friend, Erica Peterson, was in the back seat and she decided to record it on her iPhone."

When the cashier is ready to take the order, Giorgio smoothly sings his order into the intercom. To the amazement of the cashiers Kendall Leary and Leila Hunt, they properly takes his order however you can hear in their voices that they are blushing and getting more giddy by the minute. I don't think they wanted him to stop ordering. One of them kept asking, "is there anything else I could get you" over and over again.

Leila Hunt exclaimed "I was like, 'Is this really happening?' I didn't think anyone would believe me so I handed the headset over to Kendall Leary," who has worked for Sonic since its Wallingford eatery opened in July 2010. "I was in the background giggling.

"I've never had it happen before. It was really amazing."

What a way to brighten up any one's day! I couldn't stop smiling after watching the video and he was singing about food!

Overnight Giorgio's video went viral on youtube. He was invited to a dozen requests for television appearances including the Ellen DeGeneres Show! The Ellen DeGeneres show had him free style and serenade some more unsuspecting people on the street. He got a kick out of it.

Giorgio Fareira inspired decided to record three title tracks that were released on iTunes before appearing on Ellen's show. He went to Blue Microphones Studio who helped him on his way to fame. One of the songs was about Ellen. Giorgio now has a manager, Drew Angus of Andrew Angus Management in Westport. He states that Giorgio will have a "sustainable career" from his serenade.

23 year old Giorgio Fareira is inspirational and talented musician from Fairfield, you can find his on http://theinterstatelife.bandcamp.com

I love Giorgio Fareira, He is a true testimony of being his authentic self and being recognized for his awesomeness.

A graduate of Bridgeport's Bassick High School who moved to Fairfield about eight years ago, Fareira said he had always hoped to make it in the music business, but never guessed the impromptu musical improvisation would skyrocket him to fame. "This exposure has helped me out a lot," said Fareira, who plays guitar, sings and composes his own music.
