Hey there, Idol fans! I'm Jager Weatherby from http://www.wetpaint.com, and I'm here to tell you every thing you ever wanted to know -- and a few things you didn't know you wanted to know -- about Idol contestant (and professional smirker) Scotty McCreery. ("Baby Lock Them Doors", anyone?)

Scotty is a good ol' North Carolina boy, and he's not the only Idol contestant who hails from the Tar Heel state. Former contestants Clay Aiken, Fantasia Barrino, Chris Daughtry, and Kellie Pickler also call North Carolina home. Scotty's grandmother, however, is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, which means the country crooner is a quarter Puerto Rican.

Who would Scotty love to share the stage with? Country stars Josh Turner, Randy Travis, George Straight, and even former Idol contestants Josh Gracin and Kellie Pickler are all on the teen's wishlist. But the one Idol alum he's not too keen on collaborating with? Carrie Underwood. Scotty said the Season 4 sensation has "a more poppy kind of country to her" and that he was more of the "traditional type." Eh, we're thinkin' he'd probably come around if she asks...

Now, if you're anything like us, you love to know what other people are snacking on. Scotty loves Lucky Charms and Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries, and some of his favorite candies include Starburst and Tootsie Rolls. Betcha he dives into all of those while sitting on the couch watching SportsCenter, which the contestant said is his favorite way to unwind after a performance.

Finally, are you wondering where Scotty got that powerful baritone? The contestant wrote on Twitter, "My mom says I had a normal voice until I was about 12-13 and then she said, and I quote, "It just fell off a cliff." That might be the only time something falling off of a cliff worked out for the best.

Now that we've given you all the deets on Scotty, find even more juicy American Idol exclusives, trivia, gossip, and spoilers at http://www.wetpaint.com/American-Idol. Til next time!
