Pope Benedict XVI spoke about the Second Vatican Council and his personal memories of the historical ecclesial event on February 14, in a meeting with his cardinal vicar, auxiliary bishops, parish priests and Roman clergy. The meeting was held in the Paul VI Hall. Pope Benedict recalled: We were full of hope and enthusiasm, we experienced the universality of the Church and the capacity to be led by God.
