This is a video to demonstrate the use of large crash cymbals as "crash-rides". i don't really like the term crash ride and i generally find that crash rides are always a compromise. I much prefer to use a big crash that can be used as a ride without too much build up and wash, rather than a ride that "is good for crashing". Here i demo three more rock orientated cymbals, although this can be applied with any cymbal. I find the thicker rock cymbals help to stop the wash from building too much when using a variety of dynamics.
