Christine Toomey shares stories from her travels as a foreign correspondent and looks at the dedication and courage of women who choose to dedicate their lives to Buddhism. How can spirituality act as a source of empowerment for women in the face of adversity? In even the darkest episodes of human history there is a way to find light in the darkness - but as Christine reminds us in this thoroughly engaging talk - it is an art.
