Upon realizing that many desktop programs will refuse to install themselves on an SD Card, I set about looking for a fix.
Why install on an SD Card you ask? Well, if all you have is a 64 GB solid state drive like with the $899 Surface Pro, you're going to want to put your work files on the faster C drive, and your programs (especially the big ones), on something else. And with 64 GB class-10 SDXC cards available, why would you want to lug around a USB hard-disk?
