What's up, Gleeks? Jager Weatherby here from Wetpaint Entertainment. Season 3 of Glee seems an eternity away, but luckily Michael Ausiello's been spoiling us silly with juicy tidbits, especially following his panel at Comic-Con. Here's what you need to know about who'll be returning on Season 3, who isn't necessarily leaving, and who's gone for good... Spoiler alert, people!
Ryan Murphy may have claimed that Season 3 will be short on guest actors, like Kristin Chenoweth and Gwenyth Paltrow, but apparently Rachel's baby mama Idina Menzel will be the exception to the rule.
Definitely not returning is Trouty Mouth Sam Evans... like, at all. Before you start cursing the Glee gods, you should probably know that this decision was Chord's and Chord's alone. The adorable blonde was offered a 10-episode deal with the possibility of becoming a regular mid-season, but heartbreakingly, he promptly declined.
In better news, Dot-Marie Jones, a.k.a. Coach Beiste, will most definitely be back on board, and apparently the writers have some awesome stuff in store for her.
In even more uplifting news, it seems all those rumors and Tweets about Rachel, Finn, and Kurt graduating from McKinley High and never looking back spiraled a bit out of control. As it turns out, yes, Rachel, Finn, and Kurt will all be graduating, but producer Brad Falchuk has assured fans that Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer are not being let go and may very well be back for Season 4 or even later. Phew!
