This special intimate performance took place at the Wildflower Pavilion at the Planet Bluegrass ranch in Lyons, CO on 9/19/09.
Mabon, as this celebration has come to be named, is a Thanksgiving, a time to appreciate and give thanks to the Goddess for her bounty and to share in the joys of the harvest. Mabon is ruled by the Wine Moon and marks the completion of the fruit harvest. The grains of Summer are now dry and ready to be stored. The fruit, herbs, and vegetables we do not eat now, we preserve for later use during the Winter.
Mabon coincided with the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, which occurs on the first and second of Tishri in the Jewish calendar.
Needless to say, it was a special day on multiple levels, and a powerful performance by this talented trio.
