Kristen Stewart released an official statement of apology today admitting to cheating on her longtime boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. The 22 year old star issued the very candid statement in response to allegations that she had a romantic interlude with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders on July 17th, when the pair were photographed kissing in California. Anonymous sources close to Kristen have already spoken out saying that she was completely distraught over her mistake, and Kristen herself is speaking out. In her official statement Kristen stated QUOTE: I am deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Robert Pattinson has not yet reacted to the situation, and fans are wondering whether he will be able to forgive her and look past her indiscretion. Kristen's apology is obviously very heartfelt and we respect her openness in what must be an incredibly difficult situation.
